Is it possible to transfer items from your inventory to other players without placing them in the Item Market?

Nope, that would be akin to money transfers.

I suppose if Admin allows this, players will take advantage of this to cheat... Better play safe than playing with fire.

In VPv1 it was possible to transfer items between players but I believe that this ability was abused and therefore removed from v2.
